Major Russian Assaults Cut Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered problems to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and applying penalties," mentioned in a public message.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks come after nights of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
